On January 21, 2021 swimmers Fahim Anwari (Afghanistan), Isihaka Irankunda (Rwanda) and Eloi Maniraguha (Rwanda) arrived in Kazan.

Isihaka Irankunda and Eloi Maniraguha came from the same city - Kigali. Also, previously they had already meet each other in development programme in Thanyapura Phuket.
