Today, September 10, the Swimming Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan (50m) kicked off in the Akcharlak pool in Kazan. Athletes from the FINA Development Centre demonstrated their athletic prowess in the swimming pool.
This is the first competition for the FINA Development Centre scholarship holders in 2020 after a long break. Bisma Khan (Pakistan) was the first to compete in the 100m freestyle, showing a result of 1.03:75. The results of Davor Petrovski (North Macedonia) and Musa Zhalayev (Turkmenistan) at the same distance are 56.97 and 54.57, respectively. The competition day was completed by Arina Baikova (Latvia). She finished second overall, swimming the 200m backstroke in 2.18:15 (Personal Best).
'It's great that after half a year of waiting, the long-awaited competitions began! I am very glad', - said Bisma Khan.
The Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan will continue until September 12.
