That week, from September 8 to 10, the largest international forum was held on the territory of the new exhibition center "Kazan Expo", which was attended by the largest organizations of the sports industry not only from Russia, but also from whole over the world.
Thus, FINA President, Husain Al Musallam, arrived at the forum on his second visit to Kazan in the last 3 months after being appointed to the President position of one of the most important federations of world sports, as well as a long-time partner of the Republic of Tatarstan. The President of FINA himself took an active part in all sections of the forum, including numerous interviews and press approaches for local media representatives.
Within the framework of the forum, a large exhibition area was organized, where the Kazan FINA Development Center together with the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects presented a bright stand and on the opening day, the honored guests got to know FINA scholarship holders, as well as other development centers from Thailand and Senegal via online zoom call.
Among the VIP guests were the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation – Igor Levitin, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan – Rustam Minnikhanov, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation – Oleg Matytsin and others.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan appreciated the successful performance of the FINA Center team at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, and also wished good luck at the upcoming World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
Also, the athletes were able to get to know Russian organizations better at the exhibition and declare themselves as an international sports team that is aimed at success.
In addition to the exhibition pavilion, the FINA President attended numerous business meetings aimed at strengthening external relations in sports.
One of such events was the round table " Swimming as a universal approach to strengthening the health of the nation and the development of sports", where Husain Al Musallam made introductory remarks and a presentation on the new vector of development of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), and also at this session the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov made a speech on the topic "Kazan as the capital of world swimming, and
Vladimir Salnikov, president of the Russian Swimming Federation and a four-time Olympic Champion, presented the program "Swimming for Everyone", which begins to be implemented from Russia.
Our project was presented by the head of the FINA Development Center in Kazan, Ranko Tepavcevic, with the participation of FINA scholarship holders.

Fahim Anwari, an athlete from Afghanistan, has been in the scholarship program since February of this year and returned to Kazan for the forum itself after a major military coup in his native country. Fahim was in Kabul for almost a month and had no opportunity to leave the country.
With the great support of FINA President Husain Al Musallam, he got the opportunity to leave Afghanistan and prepare for the new swimming season and will focus only on swimming and his new Personal Records.
He found himself far away from all the problems that have plagued him for the last month, and according to him, the Taliban have completely suspended sports life in the country.
