From January 27 to 29, 2022 the Republic of Tatarstan swimming championships (50m) was held in Kazan, where our scholarship holders of the FINA Development Center managed to show good results even on the beginning of the training cycles.

In total, our team have 11 personal bests, 4 national records.

Head coach of the FINA Development Center Pavel Kutashev commented on the performance of our athletes: "This competition was a first one of the year and I generally pleased with results of our swimmers. The fact that under training conditions on this stage of preparation swimmers still able to get some PBs is very good and showing that we are on a right track".

Lev is an open water athlete, for him this start was very successful and unusual, because the difference between 10km and 25km in open water and events like 50-100-200m in the swimming pool is huge!

The athlete commented his performance: "The competition was great! I am glad that I managed to improve my results, even though I only trained for a week. I am also happy for my teammates, who also managed to improve their time. We are working and preparing for the next competitions".
