President of the FINA Mr. Husain Al Musallam, invited the coordinator of the Kazan FINA Development Center, Ranko Tepavcevic, to Budapest to participate in business meetings dedicated to the implementation of educational modules into the FINA scholarship program.
The meeting was attended by the FINA office, the Government of Hungary, as well as representatives of higher educational institutions in Budapest.
Ranko Tepavcevic left a comment on his small but important trip to the capital of Hungary:
"It was my great honor to be invited by the President of Fina, Mr Hussain Al Musallam, Hungarian Government and Swimming Federation to share the experience of FINA Development Programme and management of the FINA development Centre in Kazan that is a mutual project of FINA and the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
During this fruitful visit we have had the opportunity to discuss the further development including educational scholarships that would soon become available for the FINA sports scholarship holders, but at the same time for the coaches and managers and of the National Federations within the FINA aquatics family. Thanks to the support for Mr. President we are about to launch a major campaign to support the athletes and coaches in their development.
We are all sharing vision of a better and brighter future for the worldwide aquatics community and post career development of athletes that is as equally important as their sports career. Thanks to FINA support, today's champions would become the leaders of their nations tomorrow.
Thanks to the Hungarian Government and Swimming Fédération for their great hospitality and it is always nice to visit Budapest, such a beautiful city at Danube river.»
