Kazan became the first city where the FINA World Masters Championships were held virtually at the same time with the 16th FINA World Championships.
For the first time ever, members of the global aquatics community of all ages gathered in the same place at the same time.
The competition programme featured five aquatic disciplines: swimming, open water swimming, artistic swimming, water polo and diving. A total of 653 medal events were contested.
